I hired Justin last summer because I needed something to kickstart my journey back into a fit lifestyle after having my second child. I moved here recently from the Northern Illinois area, and simply could not find a quality gym and atmosphere for that met my needs. However, I was fortunate to discover Justin T. and the gym where he trains. Justin is an awesome trainer. I'd go as far as saying he's the best trainer I've ever trained with, hands down! I've worked out with other trainers in the past but none of them compare to Justin. He pushes you outside your comfort zone (which isn't that why we decide to hire a trainer in the first place), he motivates you, creates custom and effective workouts that are even sometimes fun, and really he helps you achieve your fitness goals! If you are wavering on whether or not to hire a trainer, I say "do it" and hire Justin. The only thing you may regret is that you didn't do it sooner! *I should say, I never really do these reviews unless I am extremely satisfied with a product or service.

Justin is an amazing person and trainer. He is always pushing you to your max in order to achieve results. He genuinely wants his clients to succeed and reach their goals. I have been working with Justin for just over a month now and have already seen/felt result! Before beginning my work with Justin I was going to the gym 4-5 times a week for years and not seeing the results I wanted. Seeing results after only a month of working with Justin proves he knows what he's doing. He has also been working with me to resolve back pain and helping me perfect my form with different weight lifting exercises so these issues and injuries do not happen again. I highly recommend Justin to anybody who simply cannot regain their strength after an injury
I injured my back deadlifting 10 years ago. It felt like a tiny bubble popped in my back to the right of my spine. I was a little stiff the next day but felt fine and got a message the next. However, during the massage, my entire back spasmed and I could not stand for almost two days. Since then, my lower back has been frequently stiff after sitting or standing for any length of time and it has been constantly weak. The weakness has been threatening to blow out my back for a decade and I've also had three more episodes of severe spasm after lifting. I've had many treatments which never seemed to get to the root of the cause but rather ameliorated the symptoms. Finally, I was recommended to see Justin by a competitive bodybuilder. Justin quickly identified a very weak core and disengaged glutes and hams during lifts. As a result, my lower back had to do more of the lifting and was prone to be overworked early in a workout hence my history of injuries. Within 2 weeks of training with Justin, I felt stronger and far more stable inside and outside of the gym. After only 4 weeks, these muscle groups fully engaged to support my back which has not bothered me once during squats and deads. Through isolation exercises, each session was focused on getting disengaged and weak muscle groups to engage (they had no bloody choice!). They came back to life to work as a team with the rest of my body and I believe now they have fully integrated. I cannot thank Justin enough for his attention to detail and expertise. Training with Justin was worth every penny... Shocked to be offered a job as a personal trainer during my fitness assessment because of all he taught me.
I decided to train with Justin after years of frustrating time in and out of the gym, working here and there with a trainer or two, going through cycles of "hard work", seeing little to no results, and then giving up. I've struggled with low back pain/weakness for all of my adult life. This has prevented me from even attempting certain exercises like deadlifts or back squats for fear of further injuring myself. I chose to work with Justin in particular after observing him work with clients in the gym, working with a wide range of people and training techniques, not to mention how hard all the workouts looked. I was not disappointed. Training with Justin was worth every penny and is, hands down, one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. Over the course of the six-month training period, I lost 20 pounds of body fat, learned countless new exercises and training techniques, and gained a noticeable amount of strength. What I'm most happy with, however, is the knowledge I now have to continue progressing and improving thanks to him. In fact, I recently moved to a new city, forcing me to find a new gym, and was shocked to be offered a job as a personal trainer during my fitness assessment because of all he taught me. Justin is incredibly knowledgeable, observant, and knows how to coach people based on their need and skill level. His passion for helping people shows in every session and he's super fun to work with, even when he's kicking your ass.
